Family Revival Movement

Thank you for taking the crucial step to join us in the mission to restore families and strengthen the Church.

This page serves as your detailed roadmap, providing the comprehensive One-Year Plan and all the essential downloadable resources you need to implement family discipleship within your ministry.

Phase 1: Tilling the Soil for Family Revival (Months 1–2)

The fall of the first family fractured intimacy—with God, between spouses, and among siblings (Genesis 3–4). Yet God’s response through Noah’s family reveals His desire to redeem families and restore His image in them. The first step toward revival, therefore, is to seek God together as families. Every revival begins with prayer and repentance.
Let families gather—in homes and in church—to pray, repent, and seek God’s face. As Jesus promised, “Where two or three are gathered in My name, there am I in the midst of them.”

A. Plan: 7 Minutes, 7 Days, for 7 Weeks

Over 49 days, families are invited to spend 7 minutes daily in prayer, concluding on the 50th day with a corporate celebration in church—symbolic of a personal Pentecost for every home. Each day focuses on restoration:

  • Day 1: Restoring intimacy with God as a family
  • Day 2: Restoring transparency and unity between husband and wife
  • Day 3: Restoring deeper relationships among siblings
  • Day 4: Restoring harmony with extended family
  • Day 5: Restoring families within the church
  • Day 6: Restoring families in our neighborhood
  • Day 7: Restoring families across the world

Families may use the provided Prayer Guide with daily themes of Praise, Confession, and Petition to lead them through this 7-week journey.

B. Parallel Plan: Church Leadership Preparation

While the 7-week family prayers are ongoing, the church leadership team, along with the pastor or clergy, will engage in a structured study of three booklets to:

  1. Understand the Family Crisis (The WHY) – Explore the challenges families face today (2 weeks).
  2. Learn the Framework for Family Ministry (The WHAT) – Grasp the principles and approach to minister effectively to church families (2 weeks).
  3. Plan Practical Steps for Family Strengthening (The HOW) – Develop actionable strategies to support and strengthen families within the church (2 weeks).

C. 50th-Day Celebration in the Local Church

On the 50th day, every participating family will gather to celebrate through Worship, Word, and Witness. Families can share their experiences and the changes they observed during the 7-week prayer journey. This is a time to honor the gift of family, and the pastor can also introduce the next phase of the family ministry plan.

Phase 2: Planting the Seeds To strengthen 7 pillars of each family unit.
(Months 3-9)

The second phase focuses on strengthening the core—planting the seeds of God’s Word in an atmosphere of prayer where they can take root and grow. These seeds, the Word of the Lord, must be sown in the hearts of every member through pulpit teaching and by helping families apply biblical truths in practical, everyday ways.

Each month centers on a specific theme or goal, providing clarity and focus for the whole church. Pastors and leaders are encouraged to prepare sermons rooted in Scripture—either developed personally or drawn from trustworthy media and online resources. The church community should remain united around each monthly theme, while allowing the message to continue resonating into subsequent months as needed. Churches may adjust the pace or adapt themes to fit their own context and culture.

The framework offers guidance, but flexibility ensures it remains relevant and effective for every congregation.

Phase 3: Nurturing the Growth Building Homes that are Missional
(Months 10-12)

When families begin to live out God’s purpose, it reaches its fullness as they imitate Christ and reflect the love of the Triune God, becoming a blessing to those around them. Their love for God and one another naturally compels them to reach out to others, and their lives and ministries draw people to Christ.

A church filled with missional homes becomes a missional church. To cultivate this vision, churches can lead a 10-week study on Becoming a Missional Family, concluding in the 10th week with each family writing their Family Mission Statement. The series can culminate in a New Year’s Eve celebration, where families publicly share their mission statements and display them in their homes as a lasting reminder and inspiration for future generations. This should be a joyful church-wide event with fellowship and a shared meal.
